Map of Irish Wetlands
In conjunction with Foss Environmental Consulting, Wetland Surveys have championed the development of a mapping project to show the location and provide a description of 14,200 wetlands in Ireland and share the information on a free publicly available on-line app. The project has been developed on a voluntary basis with the support of many Irish ecologists and research groups.

NPWS Research Projects
Wetland Surveys have undertaken a number of national surveys, monitoring and condition assessment projects, on both habitat and species, since 2013 for the National Parks and Wildlife Service. Data collected during these research projects have been used as a baseline to determine changes in conservation status and inform measures to ensure favourable conservation of the habitats and species.

Pearl Mussel Project
The Pearl Mussel Project (PMP) is a locally led European Innovation Partnership (EIP) where local farmers, researchers, and advisors are working together to develop a programme to ensure long term coexistence of farming and freshwater pearl mussel in eight priority catchment areas in western Ireland. Wetland Surveys is proud to be a lead partner on this project.

ACRES West Connacht
ACRES West Connacht is part of the Department of Agriculture, Food & Marine ACRES scheme. ACRES West Connacht aims to support farmers and meet the challenges of climate change. The flagship environmental scheme will deliver broader environmental & biodiversity benefits. Wetland Surveys is proud to be a lead partner on the project.

FarmPEAT Project
The FarmPEAT Project is a locally-led European Innovation Partnership (EIP) funded by the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine. The FarmPEAT Project is working towards designing and trialing a results-based agri-environmental programme adapted to the Irish midland raised bog landscape. Wetland Surveys is proud to be a lead partner on this project.

Invasive Species Project
This Rhododendron Control Project is a community led project being run by the Leenane Development Association. The project aims to develop and demonstrate a rhododendron control programme for the Bundorragha catchment in Co. Mayo. Wetland Surveys is proud to be a key project partner to tackle this growing threat to biodiversity in this unique landscape.
