A Surprise Office Visitor
This week, we’ve had an unexpected guest drop by the office — one of our regular visitors wandered right up to us, giving us a quiet reminder of how lucky we are to work in such a beautiful part of the country.
Based in South Kerry, we’re fortunate to be surrounded by a landscape rich in biodiversity. From birdsong through the windows, to frequent sightings like this, nature is never far away. It’s one of the perks of working in ecology — and one of the reasons we care about protecting Ireland’s habitats.
While our work often takes us out into the field, moments like this bring the outdoors right to our doorstep. It’s a small thing, but it captures why we believe that safeguarding local environments isn’t just about big conservation projects — it’s also about the everyday connections we make with nature, even at work.
